The Union for Meaning was started by a group of researchers and lecturers from the New Economy research group at Avans University of Applied Sciences. As individuals, educators, and researchers, we recognize the need to build a sustainable society and a livable, optimistic, and prosperous future for current and forthcoming generations worldwide.
We hold that advancing towards a new economy requires not only thinking and advising but also experimenting and taking action. In this context, taking action entails creating counter-power collectively within organizations to drive sustainable decision-making.
The union aims to represent members from all sectors. All those who wish to take a stand and refuse to participate in work that harms the environment and others are welcome!
